Heights Residence

Heights Residence is a prototype for thoughtful residential infill development within Houston’s inner loop with three simple goals:

A flexible home design for a typical 50’ x 100’ lot. The design allows for multiple configurations, from 2100 to 3600 sf, accommodating a range of neighborhoods and resident profiles. The addition of a garage apartment supports increased density while allowing for multi-generational families or income to ease the burden of urban home ownership.

A comfortable family home with a considered layout. By focusing on efficiency and quality of space, the design provides generous rooms and a diversity of spaces within a relatively modest footprint. 

A thoroughly modern home at an appropriate scale for a historic neighborhood. Balancing vernacular forms and clean, modern detailing, the design aims to preserve the light, air and character of the streetscape while bringing new ideas and residents into the fold.
