Etsy Mexico

Etsy’s Mexico City office is a celebration of the vibrant colors and textures of modern Mexican design. The office draws its inspiration from across the region's rich heritage of arts and architecture. Fusing elements of brutalist building design, traditional weaving techniques, rough hewn terracotta ceramics, and the color houses of Luis Barragan, the space layers tactile materiality with one-of-a-kind works from exciting local designers and artists. JBAD was responsible for overall design management as well as design and curation of all furnishings and artwork.

‘A celebration of artisanal talent’

One of the critical elements of projects with Etsy is creating opportunities for collaboration with local artisans and designers. These collaborations spur unique interpretations of craft, function and place; and foster rich conversations about community and commerce within the local design economy.
